snow day take 2...

At 7am I woke up (oh 7am how early and cruel you are). Mike was up, out of the shower and getting dressed.

"there's a big surprise for you guys today"

"huh, whatdiditsnoworsomethin" I mumbled on my way to the bathroom

"look out the window" he called after me.

I did. It snowed. A lot. Probably about 3 inches as of 9:30am. Portland Public Schools waited until the last possible minute to cancel school (the news channel announced it at 7:50ish). It's a big snow day for us. A 2nd chance for lunch at the cheese shop (please be open please be open) for sledding down our drive way and building snow people.

So I am off to do just that, finding that once again I can not summon the strength to hate the snow.

It took me quite some time from writing to posting this blog... Mike was waiting upstairs to shanghai me with mimosas and love... it worked... I managed to sneak away to send this out to all of you, and I hope wherever you are and whatever the weather your day is as beautiful as my snow day...
