First: He isn't necessarily wrong, but is there a way he could have voiced his opinion with out the Trek spin on the matter? I mean come on, I sleep in my Star Fleet Academy t-shirt (thank you Mike it is super soft) but I wouldn't shove it in the face of the House of Representatives...
Second: Thank you Mr. Wu for making Oregonians look even crazier to the rest of the world than we already look.
Third: Am I wrong about this? The man is passionate about his politics and he is also passionate about his Trek. Is that so wrong? I kind of think it is (not the passions, the combining of them). While Trek is a classic American cultural touchstone it is also a fictional television show. How would I feel if politicians started comparing our current political climate & dealings to American Idol, That 70's Show, Gilmore Girls or Smallville? I would feel like I live in a world of political lunacy...
Oh my... there is the point of all this... We DO live in a world of political lunacy...
